sleepless

And here we are - me and my cookie. Working on our friendship at 3 o'clock in the morning ...
The reason? I can't sleep. Why? Because I'm hungry. No, that doesn't capture the problem too well. Let's rather say: My stomach grumbels too loudly as i would be able to sleep. Better :)
That's why i normally buy Kimbap in advance ... i already know the problem. Give me food and i'll sleep like a baby.
Sleepless nights in Seoul ... it's the first, to say the truth.
Well, it seems this city never keeps me from sleeping. Or am i always too tired to stay awake for even one more second?
I actually planned to stay hungry in bed ... but my room-mate was just too nice and offered me cookies - who could say "no" to that?
The second time today, that something nice happens with food.

30 minutes before my class in the evening i was deadly hungry as well - and had time limit. When i came to a really nice italien restaurant, they were just making lunch break. Waiting time for them to start to cook would have been minimum 10 minutes ... i didn't have that much time. But as it was, they arranged to make my pasta immediately and 5 minutes later i had a steaming hot plate of delicious pasta in front of me and 10 minutes later i was out again, happier than ever ^^

So, yes - food reigns my life. It gives me happiness with every bite (if good) and can make me calm down and forget the stress of everyday life. I'm not addicted to food - but i have to say, i rather go bankrupt because of delicious food than of buying new fashion haha
Is that foolish? I don't think so.
Food is the way you can take to explore a different culture and start understanding it.
Food is the way you can take to another's heart.
Food will open your mind and make you talk.
And over a shared plate of food you can distinguish the characters of people.
So, maybe you can consider food even as a weapon  - and you don't have to poison it for that ;)

well ... i end my late-night-philosophy here and head back to bed ... time to start dreaming about tomorrows breakfast, lunch and dinner ;)
