Fiaker

"Fiaker" are a traditional Viennese sight - i just can't imagine the city without them. Just seeing them gives me that old mighty feeling of past times. Maybe it is like seeing a Gondoliere in Venice ... but still, the feeling is different. Honestly, i never have taken a ride with a Fiaker or a Gondoliere but for me, the Fiaker have that special feeling to them, as if their behavior and way of living only marginally changed in the past one hundred years.

Maybe getting on a Fiaker finally would destroy that illusion ... so i am still waiting for that one perfect magical and probably rainy day to take a round with a Fiaker ... until then, i'll keep taking heaps of pictures ;)
